Launch of the New Project/activity

 Jamii Media and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) agreed to conduct an activity named Strengthening of Online Media in Tanzania. The project aims to strengthen the professionalisation, capacity, and sustainability of supported online media to provide accurate, impartial, and relevant information.

Call for Application for Online Media in Tanzania.

Jamii Media calling for Online Media Practitioners to apply for the Tanzania Online Media Initiative Program. The call was distributed via this program website, email broadcast to registered online media, SMS, Social Media and common Journalists’ WhatsApp groups. 

The team received 430 applications from all over the country. Please the Summary of Applicants in milestone 4 below.

Ambassador of Switzerland to Tanzania endorses this program.

On the occasion of the Government and Development Partners’ Dialogue Platform Meeting Dar es Salaam,  Ambassador of Switzerland to Tanzania Didier Chassot said “Lastly, we work with Jamii Media to offer support to online media outlets which are struggling with generating revenue and adhering to the regulatory framework.”
